Variety Post #1
I’ve realized that I really like reading blog posts that have a little bit of everything round up into one post, so I thought I’d do a little something of my own here on The Daily Croissant. Some of the blogs I follow that do it well are thefashionmagpie.com and thesimplyluxuriouslife.com !
This will be a variety of some of the things I’m into at the moment such as fashion and design inspo, recipes I’m trying, Amazon finds, books or blog posts I’m reading, skin/health care, new restaurants I’ve tried and of course any travel tips or destinations I’m currently eyeing.
Well here it goes: My first variety post!
I just discovered this new instagram account and I’m really digging her style. I’m moving in with the beau this spring and he is such a plant man so I know he will dig it too. I like the clean and airy vibe of this room:
I’m also eyeing this adorable tote from her collection
I have a slight obsession with outerwear. I bought the infamous Amazon coat for winter and LOVE it, but I’m moving onto spring things and I feel like this asos coat is a must have. It’s a classic at a great price point. Why haven’t I pulled the trigger?
I think there’s still a solid month of chilly weather in New York so I’d like to make this tortellini minestrone and I’m also going to try these fun and delicious looking overnight oats
I really appreciated this post from one of the newer-to-me blogs I’ve been reading. She talks about Marie Kondo fatigue and how we have to be very careful about the out with the old, in with the new philosophy of clearing out our space and I completely agree with her. Although we tend to get rid of what no longer sparks joy, we have to be careful about what we replace that with. My biggest takeaway is one that I’m bringing more and more into my life: Quality over Quantity
I know I’m really late to this party, but I just finished reading The Four Agreements and I have mixed reviews. First off, it’s a quick read- only 90 pages. Secondly, it’s a good reminder to focus on what you welcome into your life and how well you’re living authentically. With that said, it gets a tad redundant and it’s not for those of you who aren’t interested in making any real changes with how you live your truth. I’m happy I read it, but a lot of the principles were very straightforward. Nonetheless, a good reminder.

I recently got a facial at Drew Patrick Medical spa as a special treat. My sister and I go every year between our birthdays instead of getting each other gifts. I needed some new products and here is what I got.
The Nourishing Vitamin Cream Moisturizer which is packed with vitamins and anti-aging properties. It is silky smooth and light yet super moisturizing. I have seen an improvement in my skin’s moisture already. You can shop it here.
Vitamin C & E Serum. This smells divine. It’s like a citrus party for your face! I’ve noticed the brightening qualities it has on red spots.
Finally, I got the gentle resurface peel that is a very light gel that you leave on for 5- 7 minutes and then rinse off 2x per week. I used this only once, but my skin felt detoxified and very soft the following morning.
The products are worth the price tag. If you ever find yourself on Long Island, book a treatment at Drew Patrick. The estheticians know their stuff and they personalize the facial to meet your skin’s needs. They explain everything they do and products they use throughout the facial and offer products that will benefit your skin. I highly recommend it.
So that’s the roundup for this week! Let me know what you think, if you’ve tried any of these or if you have any requests for other categories I can chime in on.
Until next time. I’ll see you on the blog!
